Serbin Strike

In 1955, Serbin Fashions, a local garment manufacturer, was embroiled in a worker strike. The sentiment in the plant was very divided. The ILGWU (International Ladies Garment Workers Union) represented the strikers. There were friendships lost and even some violence during the months of the strike. These images and newspaper articles describe the events of the time.
